Gaylord! It’s not just a restaurant, but a landmark itself! Established in 1956, Gaylord has been serving the best multi cuisine food like European, Indian & Continental to generations and more!
What is it?
Potted palms in the garden area, a beautiful wooden trellis, old-world wrought iron chairs and Italian marble table tops create an oasis amidst Churchgate in the form of Gaylord. Unique surroundings and a welcoming atmosphere makes Gaylord even more interesting, as are its food and drinks. It has a charm to it that one cannot miss for sure! With a great ambiance and distinctive food, Gaylord is definitely the place to be during your special occasions. Oh! One shouldn’t miss the garden cafeteria and bakery which also serves some lip-smacking breads, croissants, tarts and more 🙂
What to eat?
We tried an array of dishes and we highly recommend Tandoori Prawns, Murg Gilafi Seekh, Blue Cheese naan & kaali daal, Cooker da Kukkad, Murg Biryani & Lemon Tart. A special mention to the Blue Cheese Naan because that dish has won our hearts and we can’t wait to go back for more!
What to drink?
Apart from serving some lip-smacking food, Gaylord also stirs up some amazing & refreshing drinks. We personally recommend the fruit based drinks here which are freshly made and absolutely yumm! The bar on the upper level is stocked with the choicest wines and spirits from across the world, from cognac and champagne to scotch and wines, you name it and they have it!
Any #MFJ Pro Tip?
The bakery outside is hugely popular for breads and savory snacks. Don’t miss grabbing some bread and tarts after your meal. We bet you’ll love them! Also, the management here is quite experienced and do ask them for their recommendations if you are new to this place 🙂
