Bindaas Begum Rockin’ Raja- Dine like royals and feel like a nawaab here!

Talk about royalty and modern Indian classicism, and we can only think of this hidden gem created and curated by Jeetendra Sonar- Bindaas Begum Rockin’ Raja! Located in the prime area of Mulund, this unique hidden gem was discovered recently by us and we instantly were teleported to the royal era of Rajas and Begums!

What’s so special about it?

Standing true to it’s name, BBRR at Mulund redefines awesome food, ambiance & hospitality all under one roof!

With its menu inspired from the royal kitchens of India, the cuisine here is all about a mix of contemporary and modern dishes loved by the royals! The ambiance also showcases the royal families in a quirky way! The food clubbed with the ambiance, makes this restaurant one of the must visits in Mumbai!

From the owner’s archives:

Once you enter BBRR, you’ll be absolutely speechless with it’s top notch interiors and the theme. The theme is to showcase the various begums and rajas and obviously the traditional cuisine that was cooked in the royal kitchens.  Jeetendra Sonar, the owner and co-founder of BBRR, conducted a detailed and precise research of 4 years before launching this palatial place! Talking about the concept, he adds – “The idea was to juxtapose this aspect of the past with the reality of the modern 21st century and make a sincere attempt to showcase the life that was led by the Begums and the Rajas, albeit through a young and quirky way, and we’d like to believe we’ve succeeded at doing that!”

What does #MFJ recommend?

We absolutely recommend Chicken Chermoulla, Butter Chicken croquettes, Coastal Queen mocktail, Paneer Bahawalpur, Butter Garlic prawns and Jheenga Khandapara.
