Take me back to paradise! Take me to Taj Aguada Goa!

Talk about Goa and one thing that immediately strikes your mind is sun, booze and the beaches! But did you know Goa has it’s own hidden gem and a super blessed place for all the foodies visiting Goa! If “Taj Fort Aguada” is something that ringed immediately in your mind, then you are right my friend! I’m talking about the very same place! 😍
With history woven into it’s wall, Taj Fort Aguada Resort and Spa, Goa is luxury redefined! With every minute detail of art and culture kept intact, Taj Fort Aguada is definitely a must visit when in Goa.

What is it?

Built on the ramparts of the iconic 16th century Portuguese fort, Taj Aguada Goa gives you a bird’s eye view of some picturesque beaches and the beautiful; Calangute-Candolim beach stretch. With luxurious 5 star accommodation spread across 73 acres, this property not only excels in hospitality but also promises a great variety of dishes that you cannot skip!

What did we try?

Our first time in Taj Aguada was a splendid one and we planned to visit the famous Morisco. Morisco is Taj’s iconic seafood and barbeque restaurant that overlooks the pretty Candolim-Calangute beach stretch. With flavors and freshness written all over the place, one shouldn’t miss the famous Heritage Goan Thali here.

More about the Goan Thali?

Morisco serves 3 variants of the heritage Goan Thali, mainly Goan Seafood Thali, Meat Thali and Saraswat Veg Thali. The vegetarian thali has the veg variants, while the non-veg thali is an assortment of both veg and non-veg dishes. We tried all the three thalis and my personal favourite was obviously the seafood thali! With dishes sourced and flavour packed from local regions of Goa, the thali is too good to be true! Prawn curry with kokum, Crab xec-xec, Tindli sukhem and Dry Shrimp Kishmir are some local delicacies in Goa & were also a part of the thali. Vegetarian people! You don’t have to worry! Because trust us, the veg thaali was to die for! Gave a serious competition to the non-veg thali hands sown!! With Tamadachi bhaji, Ambaddeache sansav and more, the dishes in the veg thali were such a treat to our palate.

Any #MFJProTip?

  1. Visit Morisco during the day to enjoy the food and the view at the same time! The panaromic view of the beach clubbed with some delicious food will surely promise a perfect time.
  2. Don’t miss the Balchao Naan! I repeat DON’T MISS THE BALCHAO NAAN! Try it and you’ll know why are we saying it out loud! 😉
  3. Club your thalis with their iconic Sole kodis and coconut water for a refreshing break like no other!
  4. Check out the martinis at The Martini Bar and do club them with your thali or any dish at Morisco. Trust us with this, it’ll be a great choice!!
